KUCCPS Reopens Portal for KMTC Second Revision Applications

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has reopened its online portal for a second revision of Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) course applications.
This new application window allows students—especially those who were not successful in earlier rounds—to apply again for various medical-related programmes.
In an official notice, KUCCPS announced that 21 KMTC courses are available and urged interested applicants to submit their applications before the deadline on April 3, 2026.
Who Can Apply?
The opportunity is open to Form Four graduates from the years 2000 to 2025. Both first-time applicants and those who missed placement in previous KMTC intakes are eligible.

The second revision includes 21 programmes across diploma and certificate levels in health-related fields.

Medical Laboratory Sciences
Occupational Therapy
Optometry
Orthopaedic Technology
Physiotherapy
Medical Engineering
Medical Social Work
Community Health
Clinical Medicine and Surgery
Mortuary Science
Health Promotion
Certificate Courses include:
Health Records and Information Technology
Nutrition and Dietetics
Medical Engineering
Orthopaedic Trauma Medicine
Public Health
Community Health Assistant
Emergency Medical Technician
Health Insurance Management
Application Process
Applicants are required to apply through the KUCCPS student portal before the deadline.
To apply:
Visit the KUCCPS student portal.
Log in using your KCSE Index Number, year of completion, and password (either your Birth Certificate Number or KCPE Index Number).
Navigate to the “KMTC Programmes” section to review available courses and their requirements.
Choose your preferred programmes and note their codes.
Click on “KMTC Application” and then “Apply Now.”
Enter your selected programme codes in order of preference (from most preferred to least preferred).
Submit your application after confirming the details.
After submission, applicants will be required to pay a non-refundable application fee of KSh 1,500, with payment instructions provided on the portal.
